Free lab work at Health & Fitness Fair on 3/21/26

March 12, 2026

Update: The free lab work is still available at the NNRH Laboratory until Saturday, April 4th. Get more details here.

Elko, NV -- Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) will provide free lab work at the annual Health & Fitness Fair, to be held on Saturday, March 21st, at the Elko Convention Center.

"We are pleased to make these health screenings available to community members at no cost to them," said Steve Simpson, NNRH CEO. "These labs can give you a snapshot of your overall health, and we hope they'll start a conversation between you and your primary care provider."

The screenings provided with the free lab work include a comprehensive metabolic panel, a diabetes screening, a lipids panel (including cholesterol), a thyroid health screening, and a prostate screening for men age 55 and over. Anyone age 18 and above may participate in the free lab draw.

It is not required that participants fast before their blood draw, although it is recommended for more accurate results. Participants will receive their lab results by mail within two weeks of the health fair.

The lab draws will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday and continue throughout the Health & Fitness Fair, which concludes at 2:00 PM.

"We hope a lot of folks will come get their lab work done and take another step toward health and wellness," Simpson concluded. "It's all part of our mission of making communities healthier."
