What is an infusion?
For patients who need to treat illnesses or counteract side effects of treatment, infusion is the administration of a solution or medication into a vein using a needle or catheter. The treatment is most frequently used for cancer and blood disorder patients but can also be used to disperse antibiotics and other medications. The convenience of our outpatient service means that your medical costs may decrease and you are likely to spend less time in the hospital and more time getting on with your life.
What can we provide for you?
Our experienced, professional, and caring Infusion Therapy nursing staff can provide you with friendly outpatient health care services close to home in a safe, professional, and comfortable environment. The NNRH suite of infusion therapy services includes, but is not limited to:
- Iron replacement for anemia

- Immune system treatment
- Blood Transfusions
How do you get started?
Simply call your physician and ask to begin receiving your treatments at NNRH Infusion Services. We will work hand-in-hand with your current physician to ensure you receive the best possible health care service.
- Your doctor will need to fax us an order for your medication and current office notes, or a history and physical to Central Scheduling at 748-2188.
- One of our friendly staff members will contact you to schedule your appointment.
If your physician is not a member of our medical staff, do not worry; you will not have to change physicians. Our staff will assist in providing an NNRH-affiliated physician to co-sign your order so that we can provide you with the care you deserve, close to home.
We regret to inform you that the Infusion Therapy Department will no longer be able to provide vaccinations or immunizations.
