Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital Salutes Medical Staff: Doctors Day is Monday, March 30th
October 26, 2015
March 24, 2015 –ELKO, NV-
Doctors’ Day was first celebrated in 1935 by the Southern Medical Association Alliance (SMAA). Celbrations of Doctor’s Day continued on for decades unofficially until 1990 when a proclamation by President George Bush set aside the day of March 30th as National Doctors' Day. Medical Associations and healthcare providers nationwide are encouraged to celebrate physicians on National Doctor’s Day by paying tribute to physicians, reminding the public of doctors' dedication to the health and welfare of patients, and increasing awareness of the positive role of physicians in the community.
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) encourages local citizens to say “thank you” on March 30th to the physicians who provide their care and for dedicating their lives to helping others.
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital will thank its medical staff for all of their dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare on Monday March 30th with a celebration at the hospital. “We are so grateful to our physicians that help us everyday in providing quality care to patients. We are grateful for their service to our community and consider it a privilege to call attention to their dedication.” says Rick Palagi, CEO.
‘Thank you’ to all physicians and providers who live and work in the northeastern Nevada Region.
