Hospital employees raise $3,273 in United Way Campaign
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital supports the local United Way campaign by allowing employees to give through payroll deductions. Pledge forms are distributed around the beginning of November and collected in payroll through the last pay period in December. Each employee who pledges as little as $1 per pay day over 26 pay periods in 2004 or the equivalent $26 is automatically entered into a drawing for:
- Two - Casino Express trips for two (donated by the Red Lion)
- $200 Gift Certificate to Office Max
- $50 Gift Certificate to Misty's
- $50 Gift Certificate to the Star
- One week free lunches in the cafeteria.
Chief executive officer Alex Poirier said, “When people realize how easy it is to spread a generous donation over the year through payroll deduction, it multiplies quickly. We know the money is managed well and supports programs where each donor lives. It is a great way to help our community.”
The 2003 NNRH campaign totaled $2,885
The 2004 campaign tally now stands at $3,273 but new and existing employees are able to give through payroll deduction anytime throughout the year.
