Hospital Now Part of Larger Network

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is now a member of the LifePoint community of hospitals after the merger with Province Healthcare by LifePoint Hospitals and its affiliates (NASDAQ: LPNT).

The transaction, effective April 15, 2005, creates a leading hospital company focused on providing healthcare services in non-urban communities. More than 18,000 LifePoint affiliated employees provide healthcare at 50 hospitals in 20 states.

The company places high value on local leadership and delivering high quality patient care.

“Very little will change. In fact, the local community will hardly notice the change in the hospital’s affiliation. LifePoint will focus on our “High Five” guiding principles - to deliver high quality patient care, support physicians, create excellent workplaces, invest in our communities and ensure financial responsibility,” said Ken Donahey, chairman, president and chief executive officer of LifePoint.

Hospital CEO David Henson said that as part of a larger and stronger network of hospitals, the facility will have greater resources to serve the community and care for patients.

“Our hospital has a history of meeting the healthcare needs of our community. We are fortunate to be part of an organization that shares that commitment,” Henson said.
