Ken Burger, December Employee of the Month

Ken has worked at the Elko Hospital ( EGH & NNRH ) for approximately 25 years. He is pictured standing by the boiler in what the Plant Operation’s Director calls the “Power House” of the hospital.

From a co-worker: I was recently locked out of my office on a Friday evening after everyone had left for the day. My office keys and purse were both locked in the office! Someone said “Call Ken, he will help you!” I called Ken at home and told him about my situation. I asked him who was on call for engineering and he replied, “I’ll be right there, I’m not on call but I don’t mind.” About ten minutes later he was there to unlock my door. He was my Hero!

Ken could have referred this employee to the engineer on call, but he didn’t. He was kind and considerate – as always!
