Local Neurologist Appointed to the Elko County Board of Equalization

ELKO, NEVADA – Dr. Terrell Bishop, Elko neurologist on Medical Staff at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH), was appointed to the Elko County Board of Equalization by the Elko County Commission last week.

The Elko County Board of Equalization hears appeals made by taxpayers in regards to property appraisals. Dr. Bishop will serve on the Board until June 30, 2004.

“I am proud to receive this appointment by the Elko County Commission to serve the community on the Board of Equalization,” said Dr. Bishop. “I have an extensive history in business development and management that I feel would be beneficial on this Board.”

Dr. Bishop and his wife, Carol, relocated to Elko almost a year ago after practicing neurology in Arkansas for many years. He is an active member of the hospital staff and also serves on the Nevada State Medical Association Commission for Major Medical Issues and on the Elko Chamber of Commerce Economic Retention Committee.

“We are fortunate to have Dr. Bishop here in this region as a physician and a community leader and we are proud to know his skills and knowledge in business will be shared with Elko County,” said Hodges.
