Carol (on right) and Raquel (on left) received a dual nomination for the Service Excellence
Award because of their commitment to meet the medical needs of their
community and staffing needs of their employer. Over the past month, Carol
and Raquel have shared 24-hour, on-call responsibilities as well as covered
shifts in each other's departments when additional staff was needed.
Neither Carol or Raquel receive compensation or additional time off when
they work extra hours. Because they willingly go beyond what is expected of
them, they are recognized as April, Service Excellence Award Winners.
Dina Sears, Case Manager holds a demanding job
which requires her interaction with doctors, patients, families, staff and
various outside agencies on a daily basis. A coworker writes, "She goes
above and beyond to ensure that patients have a safe transition from
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital to home or another care facility."
Dina takes a personal interest in her patients by taking calls even when
she is off duty. The Medical / Surgical / Pediatrics and Intensive Care
Unite personnel often depend on Dina to do clinical work to meet staffing
needs.
