Hospital’s Nurse of the Year - 2003

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer Alex Poirier congratulates Lori Ayala, who was chosen by the medical staff as the hospital’s Nurse of the Year for 2002. Her peers describe her as knowledgeable and assertive, with a calm demeanor. They say patients and co-workers can rely on her. The physicians presented her with a plaque and a cash gift, and Red Lion Inn and Casino gave her a dinner for two at Misty’s. “I appreciated the award and want to thank the doctors for choosing me,” said Ayala, who has been with the Elko hospital about five and a half years. Lori works in intensive care.
